Grameen pictures (MATT)

The timing of Valerie’s spring break was perfect, as it coincided with my Grameen team’s trip to the US. While I stayed in Dhaka to keep the Pfizer-Grameen research project on track (and spend time with Valerie), the rest of my new colleagues went to Washington, DC to attend the World Health Care Congress, then made a trip to NYC to visit with Hillary Clinton, their Grameen America counterparts, and my Pfizer colleagues in Midtown Manhattan.

Just before the team departed, Professor Yunus left a nice souvenir for Valerie. (It’s not every day that you get a personally addressed signed book from a Nobel Peace Prize winner…)
